Things are jumping for Youthjamz

COAST CITIES — Things are moving along for Youthjamz founders Noah and Jenna Lizerbram.
After the first successful fundraising concert at San Dieguito Academy, the pair started a Youthjamz club at La Costa Canyon High School, and are holding the next benefit concert from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 25 on the La Costa Canyon campus, off Camino de los Coches. Tim Urban, the popular finalist from American Idol, will be headlining, joined by Thomas Fiss, Avenue 52, The Dares, Nender Tips and DJ Steevie Wild. Tickets are $10.
The proceeds for this event will benefit homeless teens in San Diego. The first event funded the charity Rising Star Outreach and Falling Whistles, which speaks out against the use of child soldiers in the Congo.
“We decided to turn our attention locally, to raise money for homeless teens in San Diego,” Jenna said. “The Storefront Shelter is San Diego’s only emergency shelter program for homeless, runaway, and ‘street’ youth. Youth can access the shelter and will be assured a safe place to stay until their lives have been stabilized.”
The concert will also include a presentation from Photocharity about Storefront. For more information, visit www.youthjamz.org or visit the Youthjamz page on Facebook and Twitter at youthjmzbenefit.
