Animal adoption fees dropped through Valentine’s Day

COAST CITIES — The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA has launched a special Valentine’s Day-themed animal adoption promotion called My Furry Valentine to help raise awareness and adopt more animals. The promotion is already under way runs through Feb. 14 with all animal adoption fees being reduced to $14.
“By creating this unique promotion, we hope to bring more attention to the animals and ultimately help them find a loving home,” said Michael Baehr, director of marketing for the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA. “To adopt an animal, potential adopters must still complete the screening process and meet with an adoption counselor. The animals ready for adoption at the San Diego Humane Society come with a microchip, vaccinations and a free vet examination, so this adoption promotion is a great way to find an animal to love this Valentine’s Day.”
The San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is at 2905 San Luis Rey Road, in Oceanside. Serving San Diego County since 1880, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA provide vital services to animals and people alike. A private, nonprofit organization that receives no government grant funding, the San Diego Humane Society and SPCA is supported solely by contributions, grants, bequests, investments, proceeds from the Humane Society’s retail store, Muttique, and fees for service.
