ENCINITAS — Every November for two decades, downtown Encinitas has played host to a street fair, the Fall Festival, to be held this year from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 21. This festival, previously known as the Poinsettia Festival, is a readymade bazaar for holiday shoppers and weekend fun seekers.
The festival will feature booths showcasing various arts, crafts, gifts, food and more, along with the shops and restaurants along the Coast Highway from D to J streets. Live music will be playing at several venues including The Lumberyard Courtyard Stage, located at the Lumberyard Center, and the Community Stage and the Pacific Station stage.
The Coast Highway 101 will be closed from D Street to J Street starting at 6 a.m., however many parking facilities will be available for the event within a short walking distance; Moonlight Beach parking lot, City Hall parking lot on Vulcan Avenue and the NCTD Coaster Station lot at D or E Streets and Vulcan Avenue.
This year, San Diego Self Storage is hosting booth that will include drawing for a gift basket with gift certificates from local establishments for all who stop by to donate a new, unwrapped toy for the Marine Corps Toys for Tots holiday toy drive.
