Punk Rock Food Drive currently holds two collection events annually and was organized by Black Seven’s Daniel Hernandez, Chris Mazzola, Jason York and Ron Q. Their mission is to offer resources and inspiration for musicians, artists and community organizers to help provide nourishment, dignity and comfort to the less fortunate members of the community. Last year’s Thanksgiving event resulted in food and cash donations resulting in more than 700 meals, being donated to North County Community Services. “We have been so grateful to the companies and our local community for their generosity in making our first PRFD a rousing success. We feel a deep sense of commitment to giving to those among us less fortunate and are encouraged that others share our vision,” said singer Daniel Hernandez.
Sponsors of this year’s event include The Coast News Group, Bar Leucadian, Cabo Wabo T.U.K. Shoes, Zildjian, Loser Machine, DGK Skateboards.
