Carlsbad City Library now offers eAudiobooks

CARLSBAD — Carlsbad City Library now offers more than 2,000 eAudiobooks that can be downloaded for free from the Library’s website, www.carlsbadlibrary.org, by anyone with a Carlsbad City Library card. Downloadable audiobooks are books that have been read aloud, recorded and then made available via the Web.
Titles include popular fiction by best-selling authors such as Stephen King, Anne Tyler and Alexander McCall Smith. Also included are nonfiction, biography, business and classics. Audiobooks must be checked out and downloaded directly to a personal computer or portable media player.
Users may check out up to 10 eAudiobooks at a time with no need to worry about check-in — the audiobooks automatically expire at the end of the checkout period. Downloadable audiobooks are portable, convenient, easy to use and available around the clock for all Library patrons.
Carlsbad City Library’s downloadable audiobooks are provided through subscriptions with Recorded Books and NetLibrary. For more information, call Carlsbad City Library at (760) 602-2038.
The Carlsbad City Library has three branches: Carlsbad City Library at 1775 Dove Lane; Georgina Cole Library at 1250 Carlsbad Village Drive and the Library Learning Center at 3368 Eureka Place. For more information, visit www.carlsbadlibrary.org.
