Local club seeking chili entries

VISTA — The Boys & Girls Club of Vista is asking local individuals, service organizations, and restaurants to enter the Chili-Cook off Challenge at the Nov. 14 Denim Day Benefit 4 Kids. The event is being held from noon to 4 p.m. at the Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum at 2040 N. Santa Fe in Vista.
The chili sampling and voting will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Entry to the contest is free, but everyone who enters needs to buy a ticket and attend Denim Day. Tickets are $15 for adult and $5 for kids. Voting will be by ballot of the guests in attendance with an additional prize of “kids choice” selected only by youth attendees to the event. Entrants are asked to make as much as 5 gallons of chili and bring it at 11 a.m. the day of the event.
New Country 95.7 will be broadcasting live from the event.
