Local business donates backpacks

VISTA — DJO Incorporated donated 150 backpacks Aug. 25 to the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. The backpacks are designated for 150 needy children.
The backpacks filled with school supplies bear the logo of DJO Incorporated, a global provider of medical device solutions headquartered in Vista, and are available on a first come, first served basis.
“It’s so wonderful that our kids get a backpack stocked with essential school supplies,” Boys & Girls Club of Vista Executive Director Matt Koumaras said. “This will help kids get off to a strong school year by being prepared. It’s always great when a Vista business steps up for the Boys & Girls Club of Vista.”
The backpacks will be distributed daily at the Boys & Girls Club of Vista at 410 W. California Ave. from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Call the club at (760) 724-6606 or visit www.bgcvista.org to learn more.
