Women get fit for Mother’s Day

CARLSBAD — For many moms, the highlight of Mother’s Day was the free Outdoor Fitness Boot Camp at Sun Vista Park sponsored by Fitness Together.
Moms of all fitness levels lined up to listen for their “orders” with much enthusiasm and anticipation of what the day would bring. Sweat, smiles and a seriously tough workout was the result of the hour-long boot camp. Every participant was just as eager to get started as they were to finish, while their youngsters played in the children’s area right alongside.
One mom had this to say when asked about her experience that morning: “It was a nice way for the entire family to get out of the house on Saturday morning, get some great exercise and enjoy the park. The trainers are awesome; so encouraging, enthusiastic and educated. I will definitely be back next week, I just hope I am not still sore by then.”
