RANCHO SANTA FE — Rancho Santa Fe resident and physician Michael I. Keller was honored March 7 for his 34 years of support and service to the regional chapter of the Arthritis Foundation at the annual arthritis gala in San Diego.
Keller is the founder and director of the largest private rheumatology practice in San Diego County with five offices. He has held repeated roles as board member and chair of Arthritis Foundation galas and special events over the past three decades to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation.
Free clinics which he supported and at which he volunteered of his time, patient and professional education events at which he spoke, and funds raised for the camps for those with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, are just a few of his accomplishments. In addition, through his Clinical Research Department, Keller has been a principal investigator in over 100 clinical trials since 1975. He has had a substantial role in developing many of the finest FDA-approved therapies that are in wide use today.
All proceeds from the gala went directly to support programs and services that improve the quality of life for the 700,000 people living with Arthritis in San Diego and the Imperial Counties.
The event was chaired by June Barrymore Ash and Sandy Redman.
