North Coast Church restores Boys & Girls Club

VISTA — As one of 13 weekend community service projects, North Coast Church volunteers spent Nov. 1 and Nov. 2 painting, plumbing and beautifying the Boys & Girls Club of Vista. Colorful murals were painted in the education, drama and music room and on the back wall of the club. The gym scoreboard was hung, shelves were hung, a leaking roof was repaired, chain link was installed, railing was painted, the exterior of the club was power washed, plants were planted, windows were installed, and nearly the entire interior was painted. One office had laminated flooring laid that had been donated by Lowe’s. Fresh and Easy, Chipotle, Flippin Pizza and Chick-Fil-A provided food and beverage for the workers.
“This is what community is all about, we feel very fortunate to have their support,” Executive Director Matt Koumaras said.
