City ‘cuts ribbon’ at Raintree Park

VISTA — Community leaders recently joined Boys & Girls Club of Vista and MAAC Project Children for the Raintree Park Sports Arena Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. There were no scissors, so the ribbon was cut by a soccer goal kicked by Mayor Morris Vance, Councilwoman Judy Ritter and Councilman Frank Lopez. The city of Vista has donated this youth arena soccer field to the children of the Boys & Girls Club of Vista and the MAAC project children. The MAAC children and the Boys & Girls of Vista will be using the arena during the weekdays and on weekends it is open for bookings by other Vista youth groups.
The project was made possible by a grant from the USS Soccer
Foundation and Nike. Materials and labor were provided by FieldTurf and Kwikgoal.
