Partnership to govern fairgrounds still being discussed by cities
DEL MAR — As county officials consider partnering with the 22nd District Agricultural Association to provide local control over the state-owned Del Mar Fairgrounds, City Council members in Del Mar and adjacent Solana Beach continue their efforts to be included in the process and have representation on whatever model is ultimately created.
National Charity League celebrates graduating senior

Camp offers respite for grieving children
COAST CITIES — Camp Erin San Diego will be offered to San Diego County residents and surrounding communities with a recent grant from The Moyer Foundation to The Elizabeth Hospice. Camp Erin is a free, overnight, weekend camp experience addressing the needs of children and teens grieving the loss of someone close to them.
Local youth bring ‘Sound of Music’ to stage
COAST CITIES — A host of North County young actors will be taking part in the San Diego Musical Theatre presentation of “The Sound of Music,” Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. May 10 through May 26 at The Birch North Park Theatre.
Americans finish strong at ITF seniors tourney
COAST CITIES — The United States retained the Maureen Connolly Cup for the seventh consecutive time in the women’s 55-age division; in addition to reclaiming the Maria Esther Bueno Cup in the women’s 50-age group at the 33rd Imternational Tennis Federation Seniors World Team Championships, held in Antalya, Turkey, from March 18 through March 23.
National Horse Show returns to Del Mar
