Volunteers weed their way to beauty

SOLANA BEACH —Armed with weed whackers, wheelbarrows, shovels, saws, rakes and hoes, more than 60 volunteers cleaned up the undeveloped lot adjacent to the train station during a March 2 beautification project sponsored by the Solana Beach Garden Club, Solana Beach Civic & Historical Society and North County Transit District.

SOLANA BEACH — Council members finally adopted a Local Coastal Program Land Use Plan with a 4-1 vote at the Feb. 27 meeting, a decision they said they would make, but didn’t, in September, December and February.
