OCEANSIDE — A 20-year-old man was shot allegedly by a 16-year-old male in an apparent gang-related incident on the 400 block of Grant Street in Oceanside at about 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 1, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

COAST CITIES — Oceanside police arrested Alex Paul Rodriquez, 61, on Dec. 21 for allegedly leaving a threatening voicemail on the Laurel Elementary School’s answering service, saying that there would be a shooting at the school.
