Movie examines religious harmony

OCEANSIDE — MiraCosta College celebrates Women’s History Month with a screening of the film “Where Do We Go Now” (Lebanon, 2011), at 5:30 p.m. March 6, in Room 3601 at MiraCosta College, 1 Barnard Drive.Striking a balance between drama and comedy, “Where Do We Go Now” is set in an isolated Lebanese village where religious uneasiness threatens to boil over. The women of the village, both Christian and Muslim, devise schemes to diffuse the rising tension. Director/actress Nadine Labaki leads her mostly nonprofessional cast.

Guest speaker for the evening will be MiraCosta College associate faculty member, Maha Gebara-Lamb.
