I’d like to take him at his word, but I get confused. He keeps talking about “majority”. I was raised and schooled to understand that a majority is comprised of 51% or more of a group. So who on the council was elected by a majority of the electorate? It’s a simple enough question, it seems to me, but a question that Mr. Felien, with all his experience with numbers, has yet to understand.

They re-elected Mayor Wood by 54.16% of the vote to represent them with full mayoral powers of office. Messrs. Feller, Kern & Felien then passed their ordinance transferring those powers of appointment to themselves, usurping the will of the VOTERS. It’s very unfortunate that your Council Majority has “selective hearing” when it comes to what the VOTING PUBLIC decides. Voters will not sit idly by and allow democratic process to be hijacked by 3 Councilmembers. Voters will remember when Messrs. Kern & Felien are up for re-election in 2014.
