What is an assault weapon? I am pretty sure you could not give me the definition. I will give you a hint, the term “assault weapon” is a misnomer. There is no such thing. There are assault rifles, however, these are illegal everywhere in the US. No one (save police departments and the military) can purchased an assualt rifle. The murderer at Sandybrook did not use an “assault rifle” or an “assault weopon. The term assault weapon was created by the media to stigmatize scarry looking guns.

If you wish to ban something is it too much to ask that you at least understand what it is you want to ban?

Also, I would not be so quick to relegate the 2nd ammendment to history, you might not like the next fundamental human right that gets relegated.

There needs to be a full ban on assault weapons. How many more tragedies do we have to endure before something gets done?. The 2nd amendment belong to a time in the history of our nation. Not now anymore. I would think we are more civilized than that. And what is the NRA answer? Get a weapon is every school! Sure there is some money to be made here. Let’s stop the insanity and look how other countries are handling this since our so-called leader don’t have the will to do anything about it.
