Lifeline looking for volunteer help

COAST CITIES — North County Lifeline is looking for volunteers.Do you want to do something important in 2013? Do you want to help your community and build your resume at the same time? Volunteers are invited to help this coming tax season as they help more than 1,000 low-income residents prepare their taxes.

There are three ways you can participate: volunteer, donate money, donate food or supplies. For information about donating money, food or supplies, contact Shannon Stubblefield at (760) 842-6257 or [email protected]

If you want to volunteer and are concerned because you don’t understand taxes, they will train you. Free training programs are starting now. Learn more about the VITA Volunteer Program. For more information or to apply, contact Melissa Alcazar at (760) 842-6254 or [email protected]
