I feel that the food trucks benefit local businesses, drawing more people into the area, not less. Any reduction in business by local restaurants in the Solana Beach, Del Mar area could be partially attributed to the redevelopment of Coast Highway that is going on in Solana Beach now, I believe including lane reduction.

The food truck vendors could consider contacting the Institute for Justice, which puts out a publication, "Liberty Law." They are a wonderful non-profit which advocates for our essential freedoms of the marketplace and private property rights of :the little guy," including the right to conduct business and to have a necessary business license be available, so that free enterprise is not overly regulated and restricted out of business!

Gee, I saw FORTY-TWO food trucks at an event during the Del Mar Racing season. a) Did those food trucks have licenses? b) did the city collect any fees? c) thus, isn't this selective "prosecution"?

Gee, I am SO GLAD to have moved to the east-side of I-5.
