This WASN’T sufficient time! More foundations and non-profits could have been noticed. Normally, real estate is listed for six months! Why was this rushed through?

An August 14, UT article, “Encinitas School Board OK’s Art Center,” reports that developer John DeWald only put up $100,000, so far. $200,000 more will be deposited AFTER Encinitas decides whether or not to approve a zoning change to mixed use residential. We hope the City will honor its duty to be a good steward of land donated for the children and Maggie Houlihan’s wishes, and NOT REZONE.
