COAST CITIES — After more than a week of excessive heat and humidity roasting North County communities, residents both on the coast and inland head to the beaches and lagoons in search of relief. Temperatures are expected to drop into the high 70s at the coast and mid-80s inland by Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
