Citizens have to educate them on the Municipal Code and the General Plan.

Nor are their practices tied to best practices in their fields. The impression this leaves is one of incompetence, cronyism and bribery at the hands of developers.

Gus Vina needs to fire people or have the title that dogged him in his last job follow him here. I was worried when his last employer let him go on a vote of ‘no confidence.’

Our terrible city employees have only gotten worse since Gus came, and I read some where that Gus told people at a council meeting how proud he is of his staff. Why?

She represents the community and not a set of processes that have compounded and complicated our local government. There are places for rules however the rules can’t become so expensive and intrusive that we destroy the ability of the community to prosper.
