Sand was taken from the Santa Ana River and placed on a South facing Beachfront that was seriously eroded . The year was 1968 and began at the Santa Ana River and ran for 1 1/2 miles east . This sand is in place because of a series of rock groins that have kept the sand from washing away, Surfing was enhance and the homes were saved.
