CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — The Cardiff Kook Run saw runners of every ilk come out to participate in the 5K/10K race Feb. 5. The race was part of the celebration of the “greatest town on the map — on the greatest day of the year — Super Bowl Sunday.”The race began at Moonlight Beach in Encinitas and continued south along Coast Highway 101 to the famous Cardiff Kook statue. The race was founded by Steve Lebherz and Seth Brewer who said that “everybody should see this (route).”
