Hey Voter, how can a guy who has remained an Encinitas elected for twelve years and not declared himself a candidate for any other office be called a “higher office seeker” ?

I like and appreciate Jerome Stocks for his ability to stay focused on Encinitas and not use his office for some other political agenda.

Rational Family People? Are they opening for Rage Against the Machine? Come on Mike Andreen, get on your game. Quit parroting the usual nonsense about business interests and painting one who opposes Stocks as a supposed “lefty”. If there’s one thing Jerome lacks, besides common sense, it’s integrity. Just check all the money he, James Bond, Muir and Gaspar have taken from interests outside the city over the years. You can try and rip Sheila, but she’d of had the park built. Stocks, still waiting.

Stocks and Danon have my vote! They’re both rational family people who work within the system to make positive change for the betterment of their respective communities, and who have private sector business experience.

There will always be people (as seen above)willing to criticize a decision maker, but both these gents have shown integrity and courage.
Despite the NIMBY ney-sayers Encinitas is a better place now than it was in 2000 before Jerome Stocks replaced Sheila Cameron, and Steve Danon will be a better County rep than our current “San Diego arts” and free european vacation lady.

If Dannon is a good man why would he tie up to Jerome who has a terrible and very shady record and who’s few “accomplishments” are are shallow under a critical review? Do you have any idea of the magnitude of the tax dollars that Jerome has given away?

Stocks certainly has inflamed the voters of Encinitas with many questionable decisions and will be facing growing opposition as our election nears. He clearly appears to have money coming in from outside interests; does not seem to be representing the best interests of his constituency.
If nothing else, he has far too many issues on his plate to be running someone else’s campaign.
Danon surely lost my vote

Steve Dannon says that Jerome Stocks has worked tirelessly for Sandag -now we know why nothing gets done in Encinitas. Last night Jerome Stocks proudly said that after 10 years of working and planning, we are getting a passageway under the train tracks at a cost of a mere 5 million plus. But don’t worry folks, most of the money is coming from your federal and state taxes. The residents of the coast have wanted safe at grade crossings for years. At grade crossings cost a fraction of the price of one underground tunnel (Solana Beach got their part of the tracks undergrounded in less than 3 years). The city had state funds to build stairs as they did at Swami’s and Grandview. Under Stocks leadership nothing was done for over 7 years and the funds were lost for Beacons Beach. Under Stocks the Hall property has been sitting vacant for over 10 years – now Mayor Stocks is trying to get the county to lighten up on the toxic waste clean up that needs to be done. Under Stocks the city tried to avoid an EIR so that they would not have to do any toxic waste clean up. Under Stocks’ leadership the City of Encinitas has the barren dirt and sandbag policy for landscaping along the tracks while Solana Beach has a lovely walkway. I think that Jerome Stocks knows his time is up in Encinitas. Sooooooo why would Dannon want to align himself with Stocks. For many Encinitas residents Dannon’s association with Stocks will mean a no vote for him.
