2012 Silver Eagle Patriot Awards

OCEANSIDE — The Brain Injured Veterans Association honors the 2012 Silver Eagle Patriot Award recipients Saturday night, including Iraq War Veteran and 2011 “Dancing with the Stars” winner J.R. Martinez. Oceanside Mayor Jim Wood declared Jan. 14 Brain Injured Veterans Day.

The night was filled with Doo Wap and Rock ‘n’ Roll music from 1960 folk icon John Sebastian of “The Lovin’ Spoonful’ and others.

The Brain Injured Veterans Association is a nonprofit dedicated to serving and enhancing the lives of veterans with Traumatic Brain Injury and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. More information is at braininjuredveteransassoc.com.
