At least Teresa keeps me informed. Years ago as a student at USC Big Daddy Jesse Unnruh began his wild political career. He was USB president and rode roughshod over the school. Later he was did the same things for years to the state . Finally he got termed out. Maybe term limits would be good for Encinitas??

When Jerome Stocks spoke of how humbled he was to be Mayor Encinitas as more than 40 Encinitas citizens stood up and turned their back on his comments did not sound credible. Stocks put his chances to be Mayor in place last year when he had Gaspar nominate Bond for Mayor and Stocks for Deputy Mayor. In fact, each time that Stocks has run for reelection he has found a way hold one of thos 2 posts.

Naturally he kept things as they were, since he told Jim Bond what appointment to make last year when he set for the 2012 election. I have had several people from other communitites–particularly, Solana Beach, express anger about Jerome Stocks for his decisions on SANDAG. This lack of rotation has concentrated so much power into one person, that it is having a a regional impact to have Jerome Stocks in the role of mayor, and those in other communities are even more unhappy thank Encinitas residents.

Here here, good job Mayor Stocks! I believe you are correct and that Encinitas will be well represented by your suggested appointments which have been unanimously agreed upon by the City Council!
