I am so tired of the schoo whining about a lack of money. They have 1 day per week fewer classes than when we were kids, and each year the number of field trips, movies, and parties gets worse and worse. If they would have spent this bond money for PE classes or something that is proven as a way to help kids learn, I would not be so resentful, but they will waste whatever money they get! This is a shame, and I agree that the Pacific View site shouldn’t be sold!

In reality, Superintendent Baird was hired not for his teaching or leadership skills, but for his real estate skills; the EUSD board noted his experience in giving away school district real estate in Ojai; you can look it up. Since he has arrived he has bamboozled the public into supporting a measure of precious dollars that could have gone for books, students and teachers if he would have chosen another kind of bond, but now goes to pay for IPADs that don’t match up with the district technology.
The district has never done what is necessary to overcome their obligation to the Naylor Act with Pacific View and the City of Encinitas knows it but is assisting EUSD in the upzoning of Pacific View so it can get on with the Hall Property. The fact that Baird plans on letting teachers go so he can underwrite a farm on the Quail Garden’s site when coupled with his bad will efforts to destroy a downtown Encinitas neighborhood would be shameful if the public was informed. But news agencies hear "Kids" and are too afraid to investigate much less report. Baird’s entire executive staff has fled; WHY?
YOU know ‘why’ you just don’t care, because it will affect kids and you’ll be long gone by the time the bill comes to being paid.
EUSD friends on the County school board have been assisting the dumbing down of the local school districts; greedy boomers who will be receiving pensions to help deceive the taxpayers.
Help with the CEQA challenge on the Quail Garden’s Drive property; your grandchildren will thank you.
