CARLSBAD —Enjoy nostalgic entertainment under the stars as Carlsbad Parks & Recreation presents the Leo Carrillo Film Festival Friday evenings, Aug. 26 through Sept. 23 at Leo Carrillo Ranch Historic Park, 6200 Flying LC Lane (near the intersection of Melrose Drive and Carrillo Way).
Moviegoers may arrive as early as 6 p.m. Movies begin promptly at sunset and admission is free. Bring a low-back chair, flashlight and blanket to watch rare, historic films from the Golden Age of Hollywood, featuring Leo Carrillo, at the star’s legendary ranch retreat.
Refreshments including popcorn, soda, ice cream and candy may be purchased to support the Carrillo Ranch Trust Fund. Visitors are invited to arrive early and bring a picnic to enjoy on the hacienda lawn.
Films are selected for family entertainment; however parental discretion is advised. All movies are subject to change without notice. There will be a showing of the “The Cisco Kid” before each main feature.
