It’s another dash to the finish line now that the Del Mar racing season has begun. Opening Day brought out the pomp and circumstance, the hats and the thrill of the stretch run. Races will run through the summer, ending Sept. 7, with the track going dark every Monday except Labor Day and every Tuesday.
