A TRI-umphant race

The 2011 Carlsbad Triathlon was held July 10.
Athletes of every level and every age participate in the annual triathlon. The race starts at Tamarack Beach and follows the coastline, leading to an ocean swim and then a bike ride through the rolling hills, ending with a run to the finish line. Photos by Daniel Knighton
