I am hoping that Mark Patterson sells the Madonna to someone willing to display it in Encinitas. In the event it doesn’t fetch more than enough cover his expenses, I for one and willing to make a donation. The joy it brought us is priceless.

I think that this is another sad story that has to do with control of the Council Majority over the wishes of the Encinitas citizen majority. I find it offensive that artist Mark Patterson will be made to pay $2,600 to the city, when this is equal to 3 paid ‘personal days’ that Phil Cotton gives himself as an hourly employee. Tell me where I can sign up for that kind of hourly, no benefit job?? At least Jerome Stocks didn’t get a chance to sell it off like it sounded like he was hoping for!
