Rocking concert held to fight cancer

CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — The youth groups of Temple Solel are hosting a night to raise money for cancer research from 7 to 10 p.m. May 7 at Temple Solel, 3575 Manchester Ave.
The evening of music for adults and teens will feature singer/songwriter Jakob Martin and supporting acts by the La Costa Canyon High School Battle of the Bands winner Nendertips, singer/songwriter Hilly Rubin and the music of the Rolling Stones and Torpedo Betty performed by local musicians Craig Parks, Joel Koenig, David Yuter, and Evan Angelico.
Concert tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. Part of the night’s proceeds will be going to the American Cancer Society. For more information, call (760) 557-0101 or visit the Facebook event page by searching “Benefit Concert for Cancer Research by Temple Solel’s Youth Groups.”
