This is ALL a vendetta against Muir by Meiche. Meiche repeatedly tried to "catch on" with the Encinitas Fire Department and after the last time he was interviewed and not chosen he filed a nasty appeal.
Meiche should stick to what he knows well; dog crap.

The issue is open and transparent government, and how it is severely lacking in Encinitas. There will always be some misconduct, but if there is a cover up of the misconduct, it takes the management credibility to a whole new level of unacceptability.
If we have a council majority that publicly praises our former and convicted criminal mayor and a city manager that takes extra pay checks. You have to suspect of the rest of the city management.
I have also experienced very unacceptable actions and behavior of the fire dept management as well as city management and council. Thanks Steve and Wehtana for bringing this to light.

Muir and his wife are close friends and political allies of the political machine in Encinitas. Why does Dr. Greene think Muir got promoted on merit.

NOTE TO REPORTER: What "local group" is complaining? The reporter doesn’t identify the group. Is it the Encinitas Taxpayer’s Association that Meiche is on the Board of, or some other group.
