Training on Pendleton may make some noise

CAMP PENDLETON — Camp Pendleton artillery units will be conducting live-fire exercises, firing high-explosive munitions into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas from 6 a.m. to midnight through March 11. Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away.
Units will also be conducting Mine Clearing Line Charges in the Zulu impact areas from 6 a.m. to midnight Wednesday through March 11.
