Spring stays busy at Ivey Ranch

OCEANSIDE — Ivey Ranch continues with a busy schedule as spring arrives.
Miracles in Motion, an evening of entertainment, is set for 6:30 p.m. April 2 at the El Camino High School, 400 Rancho del Oro Drive, Truax Theater. The event will be an old-style vaudeville show with singing, dancing, impersonations and fun for the whole family. Tickets are $20 and are available the Ivey Ranch office or that evening at the door.
Ivey Ranch is hosting its first Golf Tournament at 12:30 p.m. May 20. They will be teeing off for a Best Ball Scramble at San Luis Rey Downs Golf Course.
The Ivey Ranch sent a big thank you to Mission San Luis Rey Council No. 3162 Knights of Columbus, who presented a check to Ivey Ranch. Every year the Knights of Columbus present a Tootsie Roll Drive in front of many area grocery stores to raise money for the Ivey Ranch children with special needs.
Ivey Ranch also welcomed a new equestrian instructor, Katherine Cleary, and a new child care aide, Judy Swanson. Cleary joined Ivey Ranch in December and is teaching English/Western able-bodied riding lessons on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Swanson came aboard in February and is working with the after-school program.
On March 27, Ivey Ranch therapy and able-bodied riders will be escorted to a horse show at Vista Palomar Riders in Vista.
