The Associated Press reports that the body of missing San Diego State student Austin Bice was found in a Madrid, Spain, river early March 8. Bice had been missing since Feb. 26.
A National Police official said that the cause of death was unknown but there were no immediate signs of foul play in the 22-year-old’s death.
An autopsy is expected March 8 or March 9.
Bice, of Carlsbad, was an international business student who had been studying in Spain since January. His father, Larry Bice, traveled to Madrid to help search for his son who was last seen outside a nightclub.
Bice’s body was found after a section of the river was drained as part of the search.
