COUNTY SALUTES ARBALLO

The journalism career of Bill Arballo was celebrated by San Diego County Supervisor Pam Slater-Price with an official county proclamation, with support from Arballo’s daughter, Teresa Barth. Arballo retired recently from a reporting career that covered San Diego County’s north coast as well as Hawaii. He served as the third mayor of the city of Del Mar. Slater-Price thanked Arballo for his work, and the newsman replied with a tongue-in-cheek warning, “Don’t believe everything you read in the paper.” From left, Supervisor Pam Slater-Price; Encinitas City Councilwoman and Arballo’s daughter Teresa Barth; Bill Arballo; Arballo’s great-granddaughter Alex Souders; Mary Magana, Arballo’s sister and Beth Souders, Arballo’s granddaughter.
