Celebrate new moon with Temple Solel

CARDIFF-BY-THE-SEA — Celebrate spring and the renewal of the new moon, marking the beginning of the Hebrew month of Nisan, hosted by the Waters of Eden/San Diego Community Mikvah and Education Center along with Temple Solel Sisterhood. The Rosh Chodesh Gathering will take place at 7 p.m. April 4 at Temple Solel, 3575 Manchester Ave.
The beginning of each month in the Hebrew calendar signifies the new moon and was traditionally celebrated with a special meal and the sounding of the shofar. Modern observances are often recognized with a get-together known as a Rosh Chodesh Gathering, where women come together to enhance their spiritual lives through Jewish learning and ritual.
The program includes:
— Rosh Chodesh prayer celebration.
— Personal Dream Board art project led by Cheryl Price.
— Text study facilitated by Rabbi Lenore Bohm.
— Music with Mary Marshall and other musicians.
