The Associated Press reports that San Diego State men’s basketball has received the No. 2 seed in the west region of the NCAA tournament. They will open against No. 15 Northern Colorado at Tucson, Ariz. on March 17.
If the Aztecs win both games in Tucson, they will advance to the regional in Anaheim.
Previously San Diego State’s highest seed was No. 11, in both 2010 and 2006.
