Devin was the Best Man at my brother’s wedding. This is all a little too surreal at the moment. All I know is that fate is a cruel mistress. Extending webs of despair around those who gleefully entertain the most reckless of paths (Rocha). You will be missed, Devin. You were a good man. RIP.

As for Rocha, I hope he can be rehabilitated and find a positive facet in which to contribute to society once again. It’s sad to lose someone you loved to either the grip of death or those who put you in shackles.

I heard about this the other day and it brought me back 20 years when I was stabbed across the street at Tamarack Apts by A Juan Rocha. I wonder if this was the son of the Juan Rocha that stabbed me, I know he had a son the same age. I hope he rots in jail and gets what he deserves.

when rocha gets to north county california, he will be punished, for im sure a couple of his compadres will have known and loved and respected devin in some way, carlsbad sucks, too busy worrying about the multi million dollar homes, and art fairs and shit, take notice to your kids..with the knife in their hands..fleeing the state ,as a murderer…did his family ask why he was going to indiana? taking innocent lives.. juans facebook says he went to "thuglife high" WHAT A NICE, YOUNG,INTELLIGENT MAN,FATHER BROTHER AND SON,he deserves what he panned out and more

yea the whole situation is horrible..man getting well and doing good and having a fam then this is what happens?? makes me wonder about the whole everything part of gods plan cleche…whats sad is even though this idiot killed a man for nothing and took a father from a little girl and wife, when he gets to the pen, he will fall right in with his southside car and he’ll prob even be looked up to cuz he killed another man for his hood…they wont look at how he has victimized the girl and wife..now if he had ONLY victimized the girl and wife he would be fukt and have to be in protective custody, but because he killed the man and the fam was collateral damage, he will be a tough guy in jail….F%^4%^ lame if u ask me..thats not a tough guy or even sticking up for your hood..can you say D I S I L L U S I O N E D

I am a very close family friend of the Rocha’s and know Juan, who family and friends know as Buddy, very well. When I heard this news early Tuesday my heart was shattered, not only for the innocent life that was taken to soon and the family who is graving for him, but for Buddy’s family too. Sometimes in life people choose a path you cannot control, and what was done is a horrible unimaginable crime. I feel compelled like I must speak on behalf of the entire Rocha family, who ARE IN FACT all American citizens, born and raised in beautiful California. They are all distraught and broken over what has happened. Buddy was also, a Son, a Brother, a Friend and Father. Unfortunately He got himself tied up with the wrong people and threw his whole life away. This is a case of not one life that was lost too soon, but two. My prayers are with The Rocha’s and Allen family.
