Not true, for the past 30 years posession of under an ounce of weed is a ticket and small fine in California. Also in the United States the prison population of simple marijuana users is one half of one percent. As for marijuana being harmless you said it yourself it makes you stupid and stupid people do stupid things, like drive stoned. Lots of stoned drivers die on our roads. Also the State of California has named marijuana smoke a carcinogen. So all we know about tobacco today do you think we would legalize it today. I think not.

It’s also a bit scary when the two groups opposed to legalization, law enforcement and drug dealers, are on the same side.
