WORKING FOR GOOD

From left, Emerson Yonemura, Patricia Chiu and Katelyn Holley of the Calavera Hills Middle School Chain Link Club support a clothes drive. Calavera Hills Middle School created the club to perpetuate the mission of Rachel’s Challenge, a nonprofit organization established in memory of Rachel Scott, a student killed in the 1999 Columbine school massacre. It strives to create a permanent positive culture change in school and community by starting a chain reaction of kindness and compassion. The club has six dozen sixth- through eighth-grade members.
