La Costa Heights Elementary School fifth-grade students, from left, Slade Bruneau, Blas Guris, Patrick Bjornstad, Tairon Wang, Michael Colbath and Klaus Neyer reaped the reward for having worked hard since August to compete in the Dec. 5 First Lego League Robotics Competition. Last year, the team walked away with the Rising Star Award, and this year they brought home Best Overall Robot Award.
