Gunman shot dead in Florida

PANAMA CITY, Fla. — The Associated Press reports a gunman who opened fire during a Florida Panhandle school board meeting was shot fatally, according to school officials.
Karen Tucker, a district spokeswoman, said that former police officer Mike Jones, the district’s safety manager, shot the man as he confronted members during the Dec. 14 meeting.
No other injuries were reported.
