Encinitas Holiday Parade winners announced
ENCINITAS — Tens of thousands turned out to watch nearly 90 entries participate in the 2010 Encinitas Holiday Parade on Dec. 4. Festivities kicked off with Santa at the Tree Lighting Ceremony at 5 p.m. before the parade started down Coast Highway 101 at 5:30 p.m. This year’s parade theme was Illuminate the Season — with Gifts of Service, celebrating community spirit and service, and we saw many entries go all out, showing off the many great things they do in the community.
Judging categories this year included Best Use of Theme, Most Unusual, and Best Use of Flowers.
