Shark attack closes 3 Central Calif. beaches

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE —A shark attack off the Central California coast has closed three beaches.
KCLU radio says the attack took place Friday morning at Surf Beach in Santa Barbara County.
Authorities won’t release details but a coroner’s investigator has been called.
Ann Blodzinski, a spokeswoman at the nearby Vandenberg Air Force Base, said officials have closed Surf, Wall and Minuteman beaches for 72 hours.
No other details were immediately available.
