Carlsbad Boy Scout Troop 748 hikers, from left, back row, Jeff Schafer, Mike Downie, Scoutmaster Bill Donovan, Chuck Floto, with from left, front row, Ben Schafer, Frank Trotta, Chris Thorne, Philmont Ranger Joe Helton, Scotty Beauchamp, Chris Gervais and Tommy Downie were recently welcomed home from their summer backpack out of Cimarron, N.M.
