CCT opens auditions for ‘Aladdin Jr.’

CARLSBAD — Carlsbad Community Theatre is ready to cast the Disney classic “Aladdin, Jr.” Auditions are set from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 15 for ages 10 to 18, at Magnolia Elementary School, 1905 Magnolia Ave., with Director/Choreography Ali Whitman.
Callbacks will start at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 17.
Those interested can e-mail [email protected] or call (760) 845-9786 for a time slot. They ask that actors bring sheet music in the correct key for a one-minute or less song, and no tape recorders or a capella. Bring three non-returnable headshots and resumes and be prepared to dance at the audition. There is no fee to audition, but there is a $180 production fee for actors 17 and under, if cast.
Auditions also required that actors under the age of 17 must have taken a Carlsbad Community Theatre workshop to be eligible to audition. Go to www.carlsbadcommunitytheatre.com for information on upcoming eligibility workshop to be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 6.
Production dates are Feb. 10 through Feb. 12. Rehearsals start Dec. 1, mostly during evenings and some Saturdays. There is a 10 percent sibling discount. For more information, go to www.carlsbadcommunitytheatre.com.
