SOLANA BEACH — As soaring temperatures sent thousands to the beach for relief on Sept. 25, the Rancho San Dieguito Swim Team couldn’t have picked a better day to hold its freestyle festival swim meet at Pardee Aquatics Center at the Solana Beach Boys & Girls Clubs.
Hundreds of youngsters competed throughout the day, with those 12 and younger in the pool starting at 9 a.m., followed by swimmers 13 and older.
The event featured club teams from Oceanside, Encinitas, Poway, Fallbrook and Solana Beach, to name a few.
